Matt was great! He was so quick to respond when I reached out, got here as quick as he could, and then easily assessed and fixed our issue! So kind and comfortable to be around as well. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

I called My Plumber is a Nerd after an outrageous quote from one of the big companies in town for a leak somewhere near or under the foundation coming from the yard line. These Nerds saved me $100s and possibly over $1000. Davis was extremely professional, kind, and straight to work. He didn’t come out of the mud hole this leak created until it was fixed. After he even hosed off some of MY muddy tools I was using trying to find the leak before they arrived. As he was cleaning off his boots and tools with the running water from the garden hose my 3 year old arrived and Davis took the time to smile, say hi and wave to her. Those moments matter in a stressful homeowner situation. Call these guys next time you have a plumbing issue. They will help and they care.

Matt replaced the broken fresh water tank in my food truck. The work he did resulted in super-clean looking piping and a tank and plumbing system that works just like it should. He was very thoughtful with everything he did, from discussing the plan of action to the work itself. A real human being. Very fair pricing as well. I can’t recommend him enough. Plumbers sort of have a reputation for being stubborn and hardheaded- I am grateful he did not live up to that reputation, but was a true human being.

I have been looking for a good, reliable, fair plumber for several years after I experienced a horrible situation with a ‘not to be named’ plumbing company who runs absurd commercials. Fortunately, I read about My Plumber is a Nerd through the NextDoor app and decided to give them a call. I was having a dripping sound from my upstairs bathroom. Scheduling was easy, Matt came promptly and thoroughly inspected my bathtub, running a camera all around the suspected leak area. Fortunately the sound was not a leak but a result of the type of tub I have and the way it was plumbed years ago. Matt explained the issue clearly. Because of how conscientious Matt was, I asked him to look at my tankless gas water heater and water softener system that had been installed about 3 1/2 years ago. The water heater needed a maintenance inspection and the softener needed the cartridges to be replaced. Matt looked at the system and gave me a fair estimate to complete the maintenance. We scheduled the work for the next week. Davis, a plumber who works with Matt, arrived on time for the scheduled maintenance appointment. Davis was careful and diligent in completing the work. Between the time I scheduled the maintenance and the actual appointment, I noticed the water meter casing at the street was filling with water. After Davis completed the maintenance on my water heater, I asked him to take a quick look at my water meter and asked for his advice. Davis was very accommodating at this added task and took the time to give it a look. He bailed out the water in order to see the problem. It quickly refilled. Davis thought I should call the city as he could not determine (because of the water) the exact source of the leak but that the leak was very likely to be on the city side of the meter. Starting with the city will potentially save me a good bit of money trying to determine what is happening at the meter. I have since scheduled with the city. To make this very long story (review) short, I absolutely recommend My Plumber is a Nerd plumbing company for your plumbing needs. Matt and Davis are both conscientious, skilled plumbers who I trust to be honest, fair, gifted plumbers. I have finally found a plumbing company in Austin that I can count for all of my plumbing needs.

The team was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! The intake, scheduling, etc. was effortless! In terms of service, Matt was very punctual and was able to knock out everything I needed and went above and beyond by competing everything in short order and cleaning up the workspace.
